Las Vegas Road Trip

last week, the hubs and i took a little road trip down to Las Vegas without the little humans!! dave had a job to bid out and it so happened to be our anniversary so i tagged along! i'd have to say it was my favorite little road trip together thus far. (we don't get out much! ;))

we arrived just after dinner time, so we checked into the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa and got all settled and then went down to grab something to eat and check out the resort.  we ended up going to see Batman vs. Superman and then called it a night!

the next day we woke up early, went down to the buffet for breakfast and then head out to measure a building and then went down the strip to explore.  we decided to stop at the Stratosphere since i had never been there.  it was kind of a cloudy, windy day so they weren't allowing anyone to go up on the observation deck or on any of the rides. luckily it cleared up long enough for us to go up. i am extremely terrified of heights, so it was a little nerve racking for me.  dave decided that we were going to go on the Big Shot, i totally didn't want to go, but i knew he wanted to so we did it! (because i love him soo much!) it was the most terrifying thing i've ever done, but i was so glad i did it in the end. would i do it again, probably not. but we had a good time together doing it!

we headed back to the hotel to go check out the pool for a bit before the storm hit. for dinner that night we went to Libre, a mexican restaurant in the hotel. which is ahhhh-mazing!! seriously, the best mexican food i've ever had! so yummy!

we were going to hit another movie that night, but were exhausted so just watched tv in bed and then crashed!!

we woke up early friday morning to hit the road! we were so excited to get back to our babies!! we stopped at a desseret book, stagged Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites on disc and listened to that the whole ride home.

Happy Four Years my love!!! I wouldn't want to spend this life with anyone else!! I'm so lucky to have you! love youuuuuu!
