at christmas time a friend of mine was showing me her watch and how it works. i was completely sold and wanted to get one for both dave and i! a few months later, i decided to surprise dave and came home with one. you know, when you work as much as he does you deserve random surprises!! and then a few days later, he came home with one for me! oh how i love him!
dave got the 42mm Space Grey Aluminum Case With Black Sport Band. he originally got the smaller one and decided he liked the larger one better. I went with the 38mm Rose Gold Aluminum Case With Lavender Sport Band .
i love that there are lots of styles, colors and sizes to choose from. it also comes with a small band + a large band for those that need it.
one of my favorite features is the background choices. i have the floral theme on mine, i love that it makes my little watch feel elegant. you can also set one of your own photos as your background, which makes it more personal and fun!!
the watch comes with most of the applications that come on your iphone or ipads. but you are also able to add other apps too!!
okay, so our most favorite + the most fun feature on the apple watch is the sketch feature!! sending sketches to those who also have an apple watch is fun and can be hilarious. the hubs and i always send our heart beats to each other through the message feature. (also, only to other apple watches) my heart beats for you babe! ;)
the next feature that i use the most is the Activity feature!! it helps me stay motivated to achieve my fitness goals. this app tracks your active calories, steps, total distance. it also tracks your exercise length, the number of hours you are standing and also encourages you to stand up when it has noticed you've been sitting for too long!! being able to see how active i am each day is so motivating!
the watch also comes with an exercise tracker app. i use this at the gym when i do all my cardio. it tracks my distance, calories and motivates me to meet goals during my exercise! "half way done!!" well gee thanks apple watch!!
the camera feature is also amazing!!! when you open the camera on your watch it opens it on your phone. It makes it convenient to take group pictures or photos that aren't always selfies!! i don't know about you, but when i'm out with my family i want to be sure that i document but taking selfies all the time is not my favorite. and we don't always have the chance to ask a stranger to take our photo. you simply set up your phone where you would like it, get positioned and press the button on your watch and in 3,2,1 you have your photo!! it also takes multiple to be sure you get that perfect photo!
i love using the timer app while exercising at home. being able to use the app on my watch instead of my phone makes it so much easier to start and stop the timer without stopping my music on my phone.
speaking of music, head on into the music app on your watch, pick your station or song and it starts playing on your phone. however, i do wish it could play from your watch but honestly, that is the only negative thing about the watch in my opinion.
i also love that you can answer a phone call on your apple watch without needing your phone. you can even talk to and hear the person calling!
another fun feature on the apple watch is the "find your iphone" or "pinging phone".... just hit the button and it pings your phone making it easy to locate it!
you can place your apple watch on silent mode, do not disturb and airplane mode. did you know it also tracks your heart rate?!
maps is also one of my favorites!!! when you are using your maps on your phone for directions it also notifies you on your watch by vibrating when your next turn is coming up!
checking your instagram and other social media is possible with the apple watch!! setting an alarm or checking your mail is easy too!!
i honestly feel naked when i forget to throw my watch on each morning. in my opinion the apple watch is worth the money. we absolutely love our watches!!!
