It's What fun is

as i mentioned before, we decided earlier this year to splurge and get lagoon season passes when they had a sale going on. and i can hands down tell you it was well worth the money!! we went countless times + it was fun to just run over and spend a few hours as a family when we didn't have anything else to do!

i have been super impressed with the kiddie section, my girls loovvvveee all the rides and we can't wait until next year when Scotti can go on some of the rides that she couldn't this year! this weekend is the last weekend lagoon is open for the season so we of course had to have one last go! dave and i decided to attempt frightmares a few weekends ago and just walked right back out because the lines were terribly long! so we made sure to get there first thing this morning, the lines weren't too bad and we were able to ride quite a few before the girls were just ready to head home. you know, there is only so much you can handle as a kid! ha! we ate churros and fries and drank lots of sprite! it was a great day with my little family!!!

when i became a mom, i noticed that all of sudden i had very little confidence in my style. i never liked anything that i put on. i felt like i looked ridiculous in my own clothes. i always thought, "mom's don't wear this kind of thing" and in some situations maybe i was right but in most i was just lacking that strong confidence and self esteem that i so desperately need, not only for myself but so my girls see that i am strong and happy in my own body!

over the last three and a half years, i have donated bags and bags of my clothes. getting rid of pieces that i didn't feel comfortable in, things that no longer fit, or clothes that aren't modest. and so now, as you can imagine i am left with sooo many baggy tshirts, sweats, a couple pair of jeans + the other 50% of my closet is lulu lemon. and although i would love to live in lulu the rest of my life sometimes i just want to wear something other than work out attire!

i feel like i am finding my style again, what i love and what i feel confident in. it has been hard i'm not going to lie. but i need to get out of my bubble that i have created. no more sweats and a tshirt, no more leggings and my husbands baggy shirt.

sometimes getting dressed and ready for the day doesn't happen as a mom. but isn't it amazing how much better you feel over all if you simply change out of your sweats and put something decent on? maybe a little bit of make up and brush through your hair??

one of my go to pants that are so soft and comfortable are these joggers from lulu lemon. the material is unreal, i love the fit and they are comfortable without looking like you just rolled out of bed! i usually pair it with a v-neck and some converse and i'm ready to go!

what are your favorite go to looks?? how did you find your mom style?

Preschool at the pumpkin patch

today was olive's first field trip with her preschool class, and she was so so excited!! she kept telling me she wanted to walk by her teachers and that she did! i kinda felt like she was embarassed of me! :/ (i know that was not the case)

we went to Black Island Farms pumpkin patch in syracuse, this was our first time and we were really impressed! it's huge!!! i loooovvved that everyone got to pick out their own pumpkins on the tractor ride + olive thought it was cool that they came around and cut the pumpkin off the vines! she ran around like crazy and still didn't take a nap this afternoon! come on girlfriend! Black Island Farms was definitely a favorite- we will have to bring scotti girl next year!

(not even wanting to sit by her momma ;()

Pumpkin Patch Part 1

i think i am having a hard time deciding what my favorite season is, i love summer for so many reasons but i think fall is definitely my number one!! the temperature is perfect, the changing leaves are breath taking and we make so many memories with all the fall activities!

we have a pumpkin patch right down the street from our house called Packs Farm, it is super cute + has slides and activities for the kids.  there is a gift shop and their pumpkin patch is beautiful as all the pumpkins are laid out on the green grass! my mom and i took my two girls and my niece a week ago and they were all in heaven. in fact, they were crying when it was time to go!

another one we love that we went to last year a couple times is Cross E Ranch, in North Salt Lake.  Dave actually does all their banners for them, so we get in free! i love this one!!! they have all their farm animals that the kids love to see, a fun hay ride where you learn about the history of their farm,  food + they had slides this year and of course the famous corn pit! last year, they had a hay maze- which they also had a mini hay maze for the kids, but his year they had a huge corn maze that we need to try next time we go!! They are so friendly at Cross E Ranch and we love it there.  we will be going back for years to come!!
