holiday family photos 2k16

as my husband would always say, "is it necessary to do family photos every 6 months?" why yes, yes it is!! ;) i can't believe how much kids grow in just a short 6 months, and yes we could go without family pictures not quite so often. but it is so much fun to see how things change!

olive is three and half years old and learning so much now that she is in preschool! dave and i are amazed by the things she says and some of the things she knows already. she is a big helper around the house and loves miss scotti lou!

scotti is going to be two in less than two months!! (insert crying emoji) i know i say this often, but she sure gives us a run for our money. she is always getting into everything, making messes and loves to tease anyone and everyone!

for our christmas cards this year, we decided to go with Urban Roots Photography!! i can't wait to send out our christmas cards to all our friends and family! who does your family photos, and why do you love them?!

Blanket Scarf

happy monday!!! our weekend was full of adventures and i am sad that it is over! we are gearing up for all the christmas parties coming our way!! i have totally always been a scarf girl, but for some reason last year they were not my fav? not sure why. but i am loving these huge "blanket scarves" that you can wear every way possible. i love this one especially for the holidays, i've been wearing it none stop and loving it!

they are so warm and cozy and i love that it adds to your outfit, especially turning a casual look into a more put together look! i found this one at target at a pretty decent price, there were others for $30+ and i was not about to pay that for a scarf!!

Rags To Raches

hi friends. today's post is all about the perfect clothing line for your little monsters. maybe your little people aren't monsters? but mine were extra wild today, and you can tell from the photos. but that's okay, because welcome to real life in the eggett household! :)

i love supporting and hearing about successful businesses that started out in the homes of stay at home mommies either trying to support their families or those mom's trying to fill that tiny space that is not occupied by little people and family. read RAGS to Raches story here!

lucky for us, dave has a client who is family to RAGS and they were nice enough to get a couple rompers for the girls. and let me just tell you,  I LOVE THEM!!! they are so soft and in dave's words, 'the girls look bitchin'!

Olive is picky with her clothes and if she could she would wear pajamas all day, every single day! when we received the rompers she asked if she could wear it to bed!! she loves these rompers! seriously though, the fit is perfect and i love the way they look on my little ones!

i basically want to buy the whole shop!! i think santa will need to bring a few on christmas! ;) these are my favorites right here, here, here, here + here!  my very favorites are the hooded rompers!! and how cute are these baby pouches??

Maskcara Beauty || 5 Minute Make-Up

today's post is exciting as i am talking about something i am passionate about and love! MAKE-UP!!!!! i have always been into make-up, but it has only been the last 4 years that i really jumped into it all. and i love sitting down to play with all my make-up products!!

and although i would love to spend a whole hour on my face, being a mom that is basically impossible. i usually get 5-10 minutes tops before both girls are on the bathroom counter making a mess of everything.

i was soooo excited when Maskcara Beauty sent me the perfect starter package full of amazing goodies to help me achieve my 5 minute make-up look with their IIID Foundation. which is absolutely necessary for me.

their IIID Foundation is a two color foundation system that gives you skin smoothing coverage. i love their How To HAC that shows you how their product works. It seriously is so easy!! I love that the final look makes it appear like you have spent triple the amount of time that it actually took, and all in 5 minutes!

the colors in my palette are walnut contour, aura highlight, ruby blush and honey illuminator. i love their 30 Second HAC Brush to help me achieve my look without having to switch out brushes. and the quality and appearance of their brush is my all time favorite. their IIID perfecter is perfect for blending and perfecting the final look. it's small and perfect just as the title says.

and can we just talk about their packaging?? love, love, love it! and so do my little ones. i mean who wouldn't love to throw fun little confetti everywhere?! ;) i love the look of their packaging- it's clean, pretty and fun!!

My Floppy Hat

I probably should find another pair of jeans that i love just as much as these that i can alternate between during the week!! (insert laughing/crying emoji) speaking of laughing until you cry!! random story...

this past sunday, while sitting in sacrament meeting, i look over at Olive who is waving to some friends a few benches back. then she begins to give them a sassy smirk and then all of a sudden she is trying so hard to raise her eyebrows up and down at them. i lost it, i couldn't stop laughing. and then i was crying i was laughing so hard!! love when our little people make us laugh!!

back to the post, when i first bought this hat last fall dave told me he hated it and that it looks like a grandma hat. every time i wear it, he tells me to take it off because i look like an old lady!!! hahaha so now this is my floppy grandma hat. and i love it. i wear hats basically 4 out of 7 days a week!

Camo Peek-A-Book Leggings

today's look has quickly become my favorite!!! when i first saw these camo peek-a-boo leggings from The Red Closet Shop, i knew i couldn't pass them up!! any jean and/or leggings that have the perfect slit are my favorite. i am not one to spend lots of money shopping for clothes (unless it is for my girls, of course!) but when i see something i know i would love, i can't resist.

these pair perfectly with this long black tunic with large slits on the sides from target, and of course this leather jacket i have been wearing none stop!!
